Martin Automated Systems, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Herman Martin, the current owner and president. Before establishing MAS, Herman designed manufacturing equipment within client facilities at companies such as Capilano Plastics and Sharp Plastics as an automation design consultant. Over the years, MAS has grown by continuously developing new solutions that solve automation difficulties and allow manufacturers to reduce labour costs. Current clients include Ropak Packaging, Nampac, Plastican,Container Supply, Pro-western Plastics, Grupo Zapata, and IPL. MAS currently employs 20 people, and in 2001 moved to a 10,000 square foot facility in Cloverdale, Surrey, BC.
